Watching the bird in Sandy Hook.

Sandy Hook is a peninsula at the northern tip of te New Jersey shore. It is well known of its histroical Lighthouse, which is the oldest lighthouse in the United States.  Sandy Hook is also an ideal place for birding, hiking, wind fishing and park's exploration.

The recommended place where to go birding are Plum Island, Horseshoe Cove salt marsh as in the image below, North Pond or Fort Hancock...

Salt marsh and osprey pole offer critical habitat


You can overlook over 300 bird species and learn about bird habitat at the park from the observation deck as in the image. It is a wonderful place for bird watching.
